Sea of daffodils at Yarra’s Edge
4th September, 2015
The Yarra’s Edge waterfront became a sea of daffodils last month, with more than 3000 flowers installed along the promenade.
Yarra’s Edge developer Mirvac created the floral activation in support of the Cancer Council’s annual fundraiser Daffodil Day on August 28.
Mirvac’s head of residential John Carfi said the sea of blooms aimed to honour those touched by cancer and raise awareness of the fundraising drive.
“Cancer had touched most Australians in some way and we’re proud to be spreading this message of hope with a bright splash of yellow at Yarra’s Edge,” he said.
The sea of daffodils was installed at Yarra’s Edge between August 27 and August 30.
