Events season in Docklands

With summer well on the way it’s been fantastic to see the sun shining down on Docklands, particularly when we have events galore right on our doorstep this month.

Experiencing even more success than last year, the Melbourne Boat Show set its sails high and achieved nothing less than a spectacular turn out over the four days from October 26 to 29, bigger and better than ever. This was the perfect event to showcase our waterside precinct at its finest.

As the growing crowds enjoyed the sights in the sun it was fantastic to see local businesses providing show specials for everyone to enjoy as they soaked up the atmosphere.

We’d like to say a big thanks to the show organisers for bringing this to our backyard and look forward to seeing you again next year.

On events, Marvel Stadium has November covered with concerts by international K-Pop sensations TWICE, old school rockers Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, not to mention that the 2023 FIM World Supercross Championship is back this year after a hugely successful pilot event that entertained 85,000 fans with elite motor racing and freestyle motocross stunts.

In Docklands we enjoy a melting pot of culture within our community and what better way of celebrating this than with Melbourne’s biggest festival of lights as Docklands welcomes Diwali.

This in-person event promises a vibrant immersion into the Festival of Lights, featuring traditional music, dance, and mouth-watering Indian cuisine.

Attendees can explore cultural activities, henna tattoos, and a bustling marketplace offering authentic cuisine.

The festivities extend to exclusive spaces like the Melbourne Diwali Business Lounge sponsored by the Docklands Chamber of Commerce, which will blend tradition and modern business paradigms.

Whether a local or visitor, the event invites everyone to embrace the spirit of Diwali, fostering unity and cultural appreciation.

So, everyone get down to the upcoming festivities between November 9 and 11 hosted at The District Docklands and Marvel Stadium Square.
