Diwali magic in Docklands

In a dazzling celebration of cultural diversity and community spirit, Marvel Stadium and The District Docklands recently played host to this year’s spectacular Melbourne Diwali festival.

The event was a true testament to the vibrant tapestry of our Docklands community. The Docklands Chamber of Commerce (DCC) took great pride in sponsoring this event, extending huge congratulations to all contributors, with a special shout-out to the dedicated team at SarasCare for its outstanding efforts in managing and producing the festivities.

This vibrant event not only highlighted the cultural richness of our Docklands community but also underscored the calibre of events hosted in the area.

The Chamber remains keen to continually foster inclusivity and celebrate diversity in future celebrations of all kinds.

Members of the DCC were recently treated to an exclusive tour of the upgraded Marvel Stadium, our central hub for sports and entertainment. Impressed by the substantial improvements, especially in the entertainment areas, the Chamber eagerly anticipates the stadium’s enhanced status as a premier venue in the Docklands precinct.

As the holiday season approaches, the DCC is gearing up for festive celebrations, with the highlight being the upcoming Docklands Christmas Maze which is again set to captivate visitors of all ages. The Chamber is thrilled to throw its support behind this initiative, including special visits by Santa and friends, spreading joy and holiday cheer.

Additionally, The District is set to host a variety of Christmas-themed activities, with O’Brien’s Icehouse adding an extra layer of Christmas magic through their “Skate with Santa” sessions in a winter wonderland setting.
