Alma soon to be high and dry

This artist’s impression shows the view that Docklanders will soon see of the historic three-masted, sailing-ship Alma Doepel.

The 108-year-old vessel is soon to be raised via this submersible barge which is being constructed nearby.  The barge will be assembled downstream and floated into position under the ship before being raised by pumping air into twin submersible pontoons.
