What a load of rubbish!
This photo was sent to us last month by Jenni Hart from Adventure Sails who reports that the rubbish contamination was so bad at Marina YE during recent floods that she could not use her berth.
The City of Melbourne has put aside funds to clean up the mess and, at a recent “D2” consultation in Docklands, the council’s director of city design, Prof Rob Adams pledged to change the structure of the area to prevent a repeat in the future.
Ms Hart wrote to Docklands News: “We could not even use it.”
“Diversions need to be put in place ASAP before it happens again. This is a regular occurrence not just when the floods happened.”
