The Cauldron – craft connect 2025
Welcome to 2025! If you’ve made a New Year’s resolution to spend less time on your screens and more time on yourself then “The Cauldron – craft connect” might be the place for you.
You can learn a new hobby, spend some time on an existing craft project or just come and connect with your Docklands neighbours in a mindful creative space.
For the month of February, we will be hosting our “Social Crafting” nights on Tuesdays only, 5pm to 7pm.
These are friendly inclusive sessions, held at our shopfront in The District Docklands where you can bring along your own hand craft project, be it scrapbooking, knitting, crochet, hand quilting, cross stitch, etc., and get to know other local crafty people.
We have one workshop planned for February 6pm to 7.30pm which is a Valentines Day card workshop in DIY cardmaking with a focus on using vintage inspired images paired with materials such as buttons, lace and paper stamping.
Learn the skills of composition and colour to create beautiful cards. Class cost: $25 for the session with all materials provided. For more class information please contact: [email protected] or visit facebook.com/pixiepapercompany
We also have a knitting teacher who can help you get started – needles and wool are supplied – for $10 per session. Sessions are currently held on social crafting nights.
Moving further into the year we expect to add hand quilting classes – specialising in English paper piecing techniques, papercraft workshops in a multitude of design disciplines, toy making – focusing on sock and glove toys, crochet instruction for beginners and advanced, as well as some “parent and child” sessions.
You can find our beautiful creative space at Shop 11, Wharf St within The District Docklands shopping centre.
