Run Melbourne returns to Docklands
Run Melbourne will return to Docklands on Sunday, July 19, with thousands of runners set to pass through the precinct as part of one of the city’s biggest annual running events.
Now in its 19th year, Run Melbourne is expected to attract around 28,000 participants across three events: the 10km, half marathon and 5.5km run. The half marathon course will again take runners through Docklands, including along Harbour Esplanade, NewQuay and Victoria Harbour.
The event is expected to bring a major burst of activity to the waterfront, with runners, supporters and volunteers moving through some of Docklands’ most recognisable public spaces.
This year’s event also includes a new major partnership with La Roche-Posay, which has been named Official Sunscreen Partner and Major Partner for 2026. The partnership will see sunscreen application stations, product sampling and skin education offered across the event precinct and course.
Run Melbourne has raised more than $21 million for charitable causes since it began, with participants again encouraged to fundraise for charities close to them.
The event’s return also means there will be no July instalment of the Docklands Waterfront Farmers Market, which will make way for the major running event before returning in August.
