Vehicles mounted the footpath and caused damage at two locations in Docklands last month.
On November 11 a gold Mercedes turned right from Bourke St into Harbour Esplanade and mounted the curb.
The car hit a Norfolk Pine on Harbour Esplanade, snapping its trunk.
The tree, located near the NAB forecourt, has been removed and is yet to be replaced.
A City of Melbourne spokesperson said the tree would be replaced during the next planting season, which starts from March 2013.
Street signs on the corner of Geographe St and Keera Way were also ploughed over by a vehicle on the morning of November 21.
