Kids go to war against NAB
30th March, 2011
About 40 primary students went to war in Docklands on March 10.
The children were participating in NAB’s Schools First Chess Challenge and took on NAB staff for the official launch of this year’s Schools First program.
Half of the children were from Winter Flats Primary – one of 67 schools across Australia to receive $50,000 in funding last year from the program.
NAB launched its Schools First program in October 2008 in partnership with the Foundation for Young Australians and Australian Council for Educational Research and pledged $15 million over three years.
The program aims to bring students, teachers, parents and community members together to help young people grow.
