Docklands as an Emerald city
29th June, 2011
Docklands was treated to a two-hour “eco-market” on June 3, courtesy of a group of final year William Angliss diploma of events management students.
Calling themselves Emerald Events, the students made all the arrangements and conducted the market in the NAB forecourt on Harbour Esplanade to coincide with World Environment Day.
A highlight was a fresh food cooking demonstration by Kane Lillywhite and Lee Chan from the TV series My Kitchen Rules.
Stallholders included Jerry’s Vegi Burgers, Destination Docklands, Melbourne City Sports, ReWine, Personal Jewellery and Art Objects.
Spokesperson Emily Mornane declared the event a success, particularly threatening weather stayed away for the duration.
