Docklanders walk for a cure
26th October, 2010
About 100 people walked to help cure diabetes in Docklands on October 7.
The event, from Victoria Harbour to Waterfront City, was organised by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and was a first for Docklands.
In Australia, JDRF has invested more than $60 million into research projects in an attempt to cure type 1 diabetes, which affects some 122,000 people.
Fundraising walks are held in all states of Australia.
