Berth celebrates fundraising success
5th June, 2015
NewQuay restaurant Berth raised more than $6000 for the Cancer Council last month through its “Biggest Morning Tea”.
After successfully holding a fundraising morning tea last year, the restaurant decided to up-the-ante this year.
“It was a huge success and the event has doubled in size since last year and we hope it will keep growing,” restaurant owner John Scardamaglia said.
“We were blown away by the amount of support and donations that were given from our staff, suppliers and local businesses.”
Some 150 people attended the event on May 28, which included morning tea, entertainment and an auction.
