Aussie day fun
6th February, 2015
More than 30,000 people flooded into Docklands on Australia Day last month.
Crowds gathered along NewQuay and Victoria Harbour, with music, performers, markets and a range of activities on offer.
The Docklands Chamber of Commerce and Alma Doepel Restoration team took the opportunity to raise awareness and funds.
The Alma was moored next to Victoria Harbour Promenade, giving visitors and locals an up-close look at the historic ship.
The chamber organised ferry trips across the harbour and tin-rattlers to help raise funds for the Alma’s restoration. See our Alma Update on page 9 for more details.
