New Year’s Eve spectacular

New Year’s Eve spectacular Image

Docklands was again a popular site to view Melbourne’s rooftop New Year’s Eve fireworks.

Acting Lord Mayor Arron Wood challenged Sydney to best Melbourne’s effort, Tweeting: “Sydney has an amazing harbour but we’ve got 14 tonnes of fireworks set to a 10-minute soundtrack with 68 globally leading pyro-technicians. We’re throwing down the gauntlet and are ready to compete.”

Thanks to A.K.M Imran for another spectacular Docklands photograph.
