Extremely rewarding banking

Docklands bank customer Ms Tee never thought opening an account could be so rewarding after last month winning a national competition and a $20,000 prize.
Harbour Town Bank of Queensland manager Siew Wong Chan was also thrilled that the winner had come from his branch.
“We are so excited for her and would like to congratulate her on her big win!” Siew said.
Ms Tee opened an account in January to help save for a home and was also attracted to the bank’s Save to Win promotion.
“I thought the account was an interesting concept and that I would open an acount to have a chance at winning, even though I never expected to win,” she said.
The winner, a recent immigrant to Australia who arrived in Melbourne a year ago said:
“The win will be a welcome boost to the deposit we have been saving. It couldn’t have come at a better time.”
“We have been looking for a home for eight months and hope we find one to buy soon so we can be even more settled and make Australia our home.”
“The win will also allow my husband and me to take our two small children on a holiday back to Malaysia to see our family.”
“It has just been wonderful to win this prize and we would like to say a big thank you to BOQ. I never thought that opening a bank account could be so rewarding.”
