Ahoy Fr Bob and friends

Father Bob Maguire (right) got into the Docklands’ spirit last month when he brought a couple of his mates to check out community sailing.

Hosted by the Docklands Yacht Club and supported by the Rotary Club of Docklands, community sailing days are held regularly as a way of building community spirit and, at the same time, introduce Docklanders to sailing.

Father Bob was accompanied by Justin Dickinson (left) from the Big Umbrella and Freeman Trebilcock from InterAction.

The trio are based at the Hub in Docklands and collaborate on projects which benefit disadvantaged people.

The community sailing day on April 15 attracted 22 people.
