The agency putting community first

In the Yarra’s Edge precinct of Docklands, Real Estate Services by Mirvac has made community its focus, becoming integral to daily life in this stunning waterfront location.

With a high-visibility office on the boardwalk, managing director Matthew Matthews has built a team of nine property managers and sales agents who deal exclusively with Mirvac properties.

For renters, the RES by Mirvac customer-centric business model comes as a new and refreshing experience. The agency’s speedy response to requests for maintenance and repairs delivers an equal benefit to landlords whose investment property is occupied by renters who value being treated with respect.

To Matthew Matthews, it’s an approach that fulfils one of the pillars of the Mirvac Difference - caring for customers long after the sale is complete.

“Yarra’s Edge is an extraordinarily tight-knit community, and we feel very much part of the fabric of life,” Mr Matthews said.

Mirvac established RES by Mirvac in 2014 to ensure their customers could enjoy an end-to-end service and that ethos extends to the way we treat our renters.

“Our business model is based on mutual respect, and we come to work each day wanting to make a positive difference in people’s lives.”

The day-to-day operations of the RES by Mirvac team are led by office manager Leanne Telford who has successfully introduced efficiencies through technology and data-based systems while also building a culture that values relationships with the Yarra’s Edge community.

Water bowls outside the office reveal how deeply embedded the RES by Mirvac team is at Yarra’s Edge. Residents out walking their dog will regularly stop by to let their pup take a break and have a friendly chat with the team, most of whom are as dog-obsessed as the locals.

RES by Mirvac has been the main sponsor for the Walk for PetWellness since inception, raising funds to support the animal charity Second Chance Animal Rescue.

The launch of the bi-monthly Your Yarra’s Edge Magazine last year was conceived as a way to bring the community together after the isolation of COVID.

“There are so many interesting characters who live among us here at Yarra’s Edge and we feel privileged to be part of this incredible community,” Mr Matthews said.

“In return we have built up a high level of customer loyalty, people who look to us for all their property needs.” •
