Ron Barassi Senior Park to host vibrant VietJet Melbourne Vibing Festival
Ron Barassi Senior Park will burst into colour and creativity this summer as VietJet Melbourne Vibing, powered by the City of Melbourne, brings a full day of music, dance, art and community celebration to Docklands.
Festival director Nupur from Camp Epic Global told Docklands News that the event was designed to inspire connection and creativity across the city.
“VietJet Melbourne Vibing is more than a festival – it’s a movement that unites communities through creative energy. It’s a space for discovery, dialogue and celebration – where every voice, rhythm and idea belongs.”
Running from 11am to 9pm on December 13, the free festival is expected to draw more than 3000 people for a vibrant showcase of multicultural talent, interactive workshops and local creativity.
The performance lineup features Kevin Silvester, Jesse Hillel, the lively seniors’ Bollywood group J Studio, a screening of the award-winning documentary More Than Cute, a Bollywood dance workshop by Josh, and high-energy hip-hop from Passion Studios. Roaming entertainers, traditional dancers and buskers will fill the park with movement and rhythm throughout the day.
Attendees can also take part in poetry and spoken-word workshops, weaving sessions, and panel conversations exploring creativity, culture, wellness and storytelling. A curated marketplace will showcase local designers and artisans, while the global food precinct will offer flavours from across Melbourne’s multicultural culinary landscape.
The event also deepens its community impact through a partnership with Destiny Rescue Australia, to raise funds for the organisation’s mission to rescue and support children affected by human trafficking.
As presenting partner, VietJet further amplifies this commitment to connection and culture, bringing its signature focus on community investment to Melbourne Vibing.
VietJet spokesperson Ms Binh Nguyen said, “VietJet is proud to support a festival that reflects the diversity and creativity Melbourne is known for. Our partnership with Melbourne Vibing highlights our commitment to connecting communities, celebrating culture, and strengthening ties across the Asia-Pacific region.”
