Repairs for ‘‘Shoal’’ artwork

Harbour Esplanade public artwork Shoal Fly By has recently experienced some minor damage prompting VicUrban to erect fences around the pieces.

A spokeperson for VicUrban said damage occurred to two parts of the artwork which had necessitated repairs and structural assessment.

The fences around Shoal Fly By have been erected as a temporary measure to ensure public safety while VicUrban, in consultation with the artist and structural engineer, investigates appropriate methods to support the sculptures.
