New multi-level pub Quarterhouse to open in Docklands this May
A new three-storey pub is set to open its doors on Collins St in Docklands this month, offering a casual, city-friendly venue for locals, workers and eventgoers.
Quarterhouse, located at 693 Collins St in the Melbourne Quarter precinct, will officially open on Wednesday, May 14, with bookings now open to the public. Positioned next to Southern Cross Station and a short walk from Marvel Stadium, the venue is expected to cater to after-work catch-ups, pre-game drinks, private functions and weekend outings.
With capacity for up to 1400 people, Quarterhouse spans three levels, each with a different feel. The ground floor features a traditional-style public bar serving pub classics and screening live sport, while the first floor offers a terrace and event space for corporate or private hire.
The rooftop bar, which opens out onto the elevated Sky Park above Collins St, will offer views across the precinct and a more relaxed setting.
Venue manager Luke Bottoms said Quarterhouse aimed to provide something “casual” and had “something for everyone”.
“Quarterhouse is exactly what this part of the CBD has been missing,” he said.
“It’s everything Melburnians love about a pub, while also offering something unique with our rooftop bar overlooking the Sky Park.”
The menu includes familiar pub fare with European influences. On the ground floor, options range from chicken parmigiana to a wood-fired flatbread platter and a classic beef burger.
Upstairs, the rooftop menu leans more towards share plates and bistro-style mains, including wagyu skewers, woodfired pizzas and pan-fried barramundi.
Entertainment has also been built into the weekly calendar, including acoustic music, DJs, trivia nights and a traditional Sunday roast.
To celebrate its launch, the venue will offer free drinks to local residents on Thursday, May 15 from 4pm, along with complimentary canapés and live music.
