Market Lane now open
Docklands ushered in a new era in fresh produce last month with the launch of Market Lane; The District Docklands’ new fresh food precinct.
Deputy Lord Mayor Aaron Wood joined The District Docklands CEO George Karabatsos for the cutting of the big green ribbon to mark the official opening of Market Lane.
Also in attendance was master of ceremonies Lee Chan (My Kitchen Rules) and Emma Dean (MasterChef winner) who ran cooking demonstrations for the salivating onlookers.
Retailers at Market Lane include Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s, Priceline, The Humble Baker, The Butcher Club, Market Place Fresh, Empire Asian Supermarket and several independent shops.
