Make someone’s Christmas
6th December, 2016
Docklanders can help brighten up Christmas for Melbourne’s marginalised youth thanks to a Yarra’s Edge Social Club initiative.
Club member Chris Cato explained that locals were looking for a way to make a difference this festive season.
“We wanted to concentrate on the 10 to 18-years-old age group,” Ms Cato said. “It’s easy to get gifts for the little ones, but the older kids tend to miss out.”
The gifts are being passed on to McKillop Family Services in South Melbourne.
Gifts can be left at Concierge 86 (86 Lorimer St) or brought to the next Yarra’s Edge Social Club Tuesday afternoon get together (from 2pm) at The Loading Dock café until December 9.
