Let’s shape Docklands together: join the conversation with Community3008 Inc.
As Docklands continues to grow and change, one thing remains clear: if we want our suburb
to thrive, we need to shape
it together.
That’s the heart of Community3008 Inc. – your local community association, here to connect, represent, and advocate for a better Docklands for both residents and businesses that live and work here.
This month, we’re inviting you to get in touch, get involved, and have your say on the future of our suburb.
How to reach us
Whether you’ve got an idea, a concern, or want to be part of the action, here’s how you can connect with us:
We’re always looking for community-led ideas and feedback. This is your chance to let us know what topics you’d like to see discussed at our upcoming annual general meeting (AGM) – from safety and open space to family needs, local businesses, heritage, transport, or anything else that matters to you.
What’s next: AGM panel and membership drive
We’re planning a dynamic panel for the AGM this year that brings together voices from across the city – and we want you there to be part of the conversation.
To build real momentum, we’re also launching a major membership drive. Being a member means more than just staying informed – it means you’re part of a movement to get real outcomes for Docklands. Whether you’re a long-time resident, a local business owner, a student, or a family just settling in – there’s a role for you.
Why it matters
Community3008 Inc. exists to strengthen our voice and create a suburb that reflects all of us. As you might’ve heard from the City of Melbourne, we’re here to represent you. Our goals are simple but ambitious:
- Build local connection between neighbours and traders
- Advocate on issues of concern for the Docklands community
- Push for investment in community spaces and services
- Protect the unique identity of Docklands while planning for its future
It’s beyond time to activate and mobilise our community. Because when we show up, speak up, and organise – change follows.
What would you like to see in Docklands?
Let’s not wait for others to decide what our suburb becomes. Tell us what you want to see. Send through your ideas, dreams, and even your frustrations. This is your Docklands, and together, we can make it better. Better yet – join us and get your hands dirty. Consider coming on board and helping out.
We love Docklands and want to see it stronger for all of us – are you ready to make a difference? Join us today. •
