Jamaica crosses the line
29th May, 2009
Jamaica the nine-year-old shih tzu crossed the line between living hell and doggy heaven when she was rescued five years ago by the Hedley family of Dock 5.
Sharon Hedley explained the Jamaica was originally a gift for her son Blake’s girlfriend.
“The girlfriend has gone, but Jamaica is still with us,” she laughed.
She said Jamaica was rescued from the Lort Smith Animal Hospital. Her fur was so matted, she needed to be anaesthetised while it was clipped.
“She lives in doggy heaven now,” Sharon said.
Jamaica may look sweet but is known for enthusiastically defending what she perceives as her territory.
