We were wrong

We were wrong

We were wrong

You know how we told you the crispy-brown Norfolk Island Pines along Harbour Esplanade were alive?

Well, they’re not.  Especially not now that they have been dug up, loaded on trucks and removed.

Of course, we didn’t believe they were alive either.  But that’s what the experts told us.

Contractors replaced four suspect trees late last month and Docklands is now well and truly short of spare trees.

Three were removed to allow for the construction of The Quays on the corner of Docklands Drive, but they are expected to be returned.

So, touch wood, no more trees fail to fire.  Or we might start getting gaps in the growing forest that will hopefully become an iconic symbol of our suburb.
