What better place than Docklands for wind turbines to generate renewable energy?
ANZ last month installed six $100,000 turbines on the roof of its new Docklands headquarters.
Each of the five metre tall turbines is expected to generate about 10,000 to 11,000 kw hours of power annually – enough to power three homes.
When the turbines are operating they will reduce the amount of electricity sourced from the grid.
The quietrevolution turbines were sourced by Bovis Lend Lease, and supplied by Maxim Renewable.
ANZ has invested about $35 million in the environmental features of the building.
