Australian tennis legend visits Docklands

While current tennis champions battled it out at the Australian Open last month, Docklands welcomed one of Australia’s tennis greats.

Three-time winner of the Australian Open, two time grand slam champion and former world number one, Rod Laver stopped by at Medibank on January 28.

As an ambassador for Medibank’s “Generation Better” initiative, Mr Laver visited the Docklands office to present a cheque on behalf of the company to the Kids Tennis Foundation.

The foundation provides tennis coaching for socially and financially disadvantaged children.

Medibank staff had been challenged to track their steps over the past few months and work together to reach a collective target of 400 million steps.

Upon reaching this benchmark the company then made a $10,000 donation to the foundation.
