A worm farm workshop is coming to Docklands
A worm farm workshop is making its way to Docklands this March, giving residents, traders, and local gardeners the opportunity to work with the City of Melbourne to help shape the way food waste is diverted in Fishermans Bend.
The council-supported workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 19, from 6.30 pm to 8pm at The Hub, 80 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands.
This in-person workshop aims to shape the Worms at Work pilot, the winning idea of the 2024 Fishermans Bend Digital Innovation Challenge.
Challenge winners Zoe Wang and Michael Mobbs will facilitate the session, where participants will explore how public composting and worm farming can transform local food waste into nutrient-rich soil.
The session will include a robust group discussion, allowing like-minded individuals to connect while also educating participants on the financial, social, and environmental benefits for residents and businesses.
