A local leg-up from Costco
3rd August, 2011
Docklands businesses took advantage of Costco’s pulling power on July 16 when the giant retailer allowed them to hawk their wares at its annual business fair.
In return for a $200 donation to the Royal Children’s Hospital traders could set up stalls to attract the 600 customers per hour who frequent Costco on a Saturday morning.
Among the stall holders was Destination Docklands, with executive officer
Michelle Kemp busily recruiting customers to join the local loyalty card program, Docklander Deals.
Ms Kemp said the opportunity was well-appreciated by all the local businesses who took advantage of the offer.
