New art space for Yarra’s Edge

Yarra’s Edge now has its own art gallery after artist Demian Gibbins opened a pop-up space at the Array tower last month.
The acclaimed artist unveiled his entry into the Archibald Prize, a portrait of Australian actor Russell Kiefel, at the new gallery in June.
Created in a retail space at the base of the building, the Global Perspective Gallery will showcase Mr Gibbin’s Archibald entry and his Global Village series.
“The Global Perspective Gallery will be a culmination of two year’s of hard work, inspired by the places I’ve been and the people I’ve met,” Mr Gibbins said.
The gallery will be open Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 6pm until July 31.
Mr Gibbins will be painting in the gallery and will be available for personalised tours.
