After the success of last year’s inaugural event, Melbourne City Sports once again hosted the Docklands Dash on Wednesday, March 23.

About 250 participants braved the wet and windy conditions to run and walk in the event which aims to promote health and wellness in the Docklands community.

The 4km course began at Victoria Harbour Promenade and took participants along Harbour Esplanade and NewQuay before returning to Victoria Harbour for a lap of the precinct.

Rohan Ware was first across the line with a time of 13.04 and Sandra Perosenica was the first female to finish with a time of 16.07.

YMCA took out the fastest team title with its three members achieving a combined total of 1:04:14.

Participants were provided with a warm-up and stretching session prior to the race and received refreshments and fruit after completing the course.

Brooks and Lend Lease once again sponsored the Docklands Dash with many additional key suppliers also jumping on board to provide participants with exciting free samples and prizes.
