Olympians in Docklands

01 Oct 2012

Olympians in Docklands Image

Docklands got a taste of Olympic glory last month when race-walkers Jared and Claire Tallent stopped by.

Jared won a silver medal in the 50km walk at the London Olympics.

Unfortunately his wife Claire missed out on a medal, after she was disqualified from the 20km walk.

The sporting couple were in Docklands to visit employees at the Medibank head office on Bourke St.

The Medibank Community Fund has supported Claire and Jared since 2011.

The pair is set to hit the track again this month when they take part in the upcoming Medibank Melbourne Marathon.

Jared will walk the full marathon and Claire will walk the half marathon.
