Working dogs in outback Queensland are blue heelers, but in Docklands they are purebred Maltese.
Meet Asher who works everyday at City Residential Real Estate at North Wharf.
The six-month terrier may not be so good at mustering cattle, but he is just great at customer relations.
Owner Glenn Donnelly explained that people came out of their way to visit and pat Asher, and that has to be good for business.
The real estate agent has owned Maltese terriers for the past 14 years.
“They are just great apartment dogs,” he said. “And rather than leave him at home, I bring him to work every day and he sleeps under my desk.”
“He looks out the window, plays outside a bit and gets lots of attention,” he said.
“Asher is a real people dog. He loves to greet people who visit the office and he loves a pat.”
Mr Donnelly said Asher was low maintenance and was equally easy to take away on weekends.
