Top job for Sarah

Docklander Sarah Seddon has been appointed chairperson of Destination Melbourne.

The Walker Corporation marketing director has been a director of Destination Melbourne since 2005 and has also held executive positions on the locally-based Destination Docklands.

Before joining Walker Corporation this year, Ms Seddon headed the marketing team at Atlantic Group [V] based at Central Pier.

“I look forward to working with the Destination Melbourne Board and CEO in steering the organisation forward as we develop our new 2015-2018 Strategic Plan,” Ms Seddon said.

“We will continue to strengthen our role as Melbourne’s Regional Tourism Organisation, increase connection and collaboration within our visitor industry and encourage our visitors to maximise their stay in Melbourne via our visitor products.”

Ms Seddon’s three-year appointment started on October 17.
