Meet Oscar Anderson

Meet Oscar Anderson

When long-term Docklands residents Colin and Michele Anderson shortly move back into their renovated apartment, they are bringing with them more than what they left with.

Meet Oscar Anderson, a Cavalier-cross poodle who is the newest addition to the Docklands family.

The gorgeous puppy, who belongs to their daughter Brooke, has spent the past six-and-a-half months living with the family at a house in Brighton and is just beginning to experience apartment life in Docklands.

“He’s trained a bit, but I think it’ll be interesting to see how he goes in the apartment, especially since it’s just been renovated. We’ll obviously have to walk him lots and train him a bit more,” Brooke said.

Purchased in May by Brooke’s friends as a present for her 20th birthday, Oscar came as a surprise to Colin and Michele.

“I went with my friends to choose him because my boyfriend told me that my friends were buying one for my birthday and then I called mum and dad from the pet shop and let them know,” Brooke said.

Described as more of an Oscar the Grouch rather than an Oscar Wilde, Brooke says the playful pooch can be very cheeky and naughty.

“He can be very naughty and likes to sit on you, but he knows when he’s done something wrong,” she said.

Oscar is looking forward to his first Christmas and might even get a few presents.

“I might get him a few new collars and he’ll probably have some ham and turkey which I’m sure he’ll love,” Brooke said.

An inside dog who thinks he’s human, Oscar is sure to fit in with the other dogs of Docklands.
