Three years of networking

Three years of networking

Three years on and the Docklands News Networking Lunch is still going strong.

Around 60 Docklanders came together for the third anniversary of the lunch at Berth on September 14.

It was a case of history repeating, as Berth played host to the first networking lunch back in 2009.

Guests at the lunch heard from guest speaker Corey Hannett from Regional Rail Link.

Mr Hannett spoke about the Regional Rail Link project, which involves the creation of a train line from West Werribee, through to Deer Park, Sunshine, Footscray and Southern Cross.

The new train track will separate regional and metropolitan trains onto different tracks, with the hope of reducing delays and congestion.

Mark Scholem was the lucky winner of the door prize, a $200 shopping voucher generously provided by Harbour Town Shopping Centre.

As usual, plenty of contacts were made and many business cards exchanged.

The next Docklands News Networking Lunch will be held on December 7 at Hooks at Yarra’s Edge.

Again, the cost will be $60 and bookings and payments need to be received by December 1.  Email [email protected] or phone 8689 7979.

The menu will be:

Entrée:  Antipasto platter to share.

Main: Vegetarian risotto  OR  Fish of the day OR Crumbed Prawns OR Porterhouse Steak

Dessert: Chocolate mousse OR Apple pie OR Cheese platter for two.

Beverages: Tap beer, house red and  white wine and soft drinks.
