Kangan appoints new CEO Image

By Ed McLeish

Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) has announced accomplished public sector executive and experienced government worker Sally Curtain as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

The BKI Group, which comprises Kangan Institute and Bendigo TAFE, operates 10 TAFE campuses stretching from Echuca to its campus here in Docklands.

BKI chair Peter Harmsworth AO said Ms Curtin’s appointment would enable the institute to continue to evolve as a leading provider of vocational training and education programs.

“It is very exciting to have Sally Curtain join us at BKI,” he said.

“Ms Curtain has led major organisational improvements and transformation programs through her executive roles in the Department of Justice, City of Casey and recently with VicRoads.”

“Her extensive experience and leadership expertise are important to ensure BKI is well positioned to meet the significant challenges now facing the TAFE sector.”

Ms Curtain said she felt honoured to have been appointed.
