Have you been watching Melbourne United smash it in the NBL this season?

From back-to-back wins, to guard Chris Goulding sinking his 300th three-pointer against the Brisbane Bullets, Melbourne United has been exceptional.

But don’t just watch – put your own three-point skills to the test. Join the Active Melbourne City Sports’ (AMCS) open basketball competition starting on February 19.

Three versus three games are played every Wednesday at lunchtime down at the Docklands courts between 12 noon and 1.30pm.

The program is designed to promote a healthy, active lifestyle for inner city workers.

Stephen from Silence of the Slams said: “Active Melbourne City Sports always runs a good competition. It’s really convenient, being able to play in our lunchtimes during the week, with the courts right outside our building and it’s great being able to socialise with the other teams.”

In the past season, the AMCS program has attracted more than 140 teams and 2100 participants and, with games taking place five days a week at Docklands Sports Courts and Flagstaff Gardens, there is an activity for everyone.

From basketball to barefoot bowls, soccer to Urban Street Cricket and much more, there’s something for everyone so register yourself or a team today.

Team registrations close on Monday, February 5 for the upcoming 2018 autumn season and the competitions are filling fast. Register a team today by emailing [email protected] or call 9690 2180.
