Free lunchbox sessions at Hub

To celebrate turning five this year, The Hub will be running free lunchtime presentations on the second Thursday of the month from June through to December.

The City of Melbourne-run service has invited all Docklanders to join it for informative and entertaining sessions while enjoying lunch and a well-deserved break.

A spokesperson said: “We will have renowned chef and author Tony Chiodo sharing his winter-superfood recipes to keep you healthy and strong throughout winter, as well as an acclaimed cellist to lift your spirits with beautiful music in the middle of our coldest month.”

At 12.30 on June 14 Tony Chiodo will teach participants some eating and cooking secrets in a fun and interactive session.

“Tony will share some time-saving, life-enhancing recipes and cooking skills to slot into your busy schedule. Discover some new foods and flavours that will add zest into your everyday cooking, leaving you feeling great,” the spokesperson said.

“Towards the end of winter we will have an ex-ABC horticulturalist from Victoria University on hand to teach you her gardening secrets, as well as a style expert to help you look your very best.”

“Later in the year we will have an eBay expert teach you all you need to know about the online marketplace, and a class on meditation to clear your head and keep you grounded in the lead up to summer.”

“And just before Christmas we will have the charismatic nutritionist Lola Berry giving you the skills and motivation to eat well during the silly season.”
