Artists converge on NewQuay

Head down to The Food Court Gallery this month to view a unique group exhibition.

According to curator Callum Jackson, Mutt is a group exhibition featuring emerging Melbourne-based artists from a range of artistic practices.

According to Mr Jackson, the combination of artists selected is integral to the exhibition.

“I’ve selected a broad spectrum of artists who use found objects, paint, sound, photography, collage, installation and drawing in their practice to reflect on ideas, reality and emotions.”

During the opening week of the exhibition last month, Mr Jackson and exhibiting artists hosted a number of workshops at the gallery.

“I have created this exhibition because I feel as though experimentation is seldom seen in galleries. It’s as if an individual is far too concerned to make a mistake or take a risk,” Mr Jackson said.

You can visit the exhibition at The Food Court Gallery at 427 Docklands Drive until October 20.
