Alumbra has it all

Looking for somewhere to go this weekend, why not try Central Pier’s Alumbra? With four set sessions each weekend, Alumbra has something for everyone.

Starting a 4pm and continuing till 9pm, kick off your weekend with Alumbra on Friday at their AfterWorkDrinks. With a two-for-one drink offer valid till 8pm, $9 cosmopolitians for the girls, complimentary canapés, live music and a tantalising $10 gourmet barbecue, work will be a distant memory in no time.

If a nightclub is more your style, check out Indecent Fridays at Alumbra following the Afterworkdrinks on Friday and dance the night away to all the latest RNB tracks. Indecent Fridays commence at 9pm and there is a $15 cover charge. Alumbra’s marketing and event manager, James Belias, says the cosmopolitan feel and commercial music on a Friday night tends to draw a younger crowd.

As Saturday night rolls up and your not sure where to go then Alumbra’s Our House Your Disco is for you. With two rooms of music, one showcasing house and the other pumping out classic old school and disco, there is bound to be something that tickles your fancy. Though, if that won’t do, then DJ Apap in Alumbra’s Privé Lounge will be mixing an array of artist and styles.

To round up the weekend head to Sunday Soul Sessions at Alumbra for some live music and a middle-eastern gourmet barbecue. Relax and listen to Afrodesica as they play some classic soul, house, disco and funk, it is the perfect way to end the weekend.
