ACE keeps pace

The donation of a new motorcycle will help the Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Docklands continue to train students in the latest technology.

Kawasaki Motors donated the motorbike and associated equipment worth $16,000 in order to invest in the education and training of the next generation of motorcycle technicians.

ACE trains over 150 motorcycle technicians each year from short courses in motorcycle maintenance to Certificate III motorcycle apprenticeships.

ACE business development manager Paul Beutel said: “What’s important for us at the ACE is to ensure that our training and teaching methods are constantly evolving to keep pace with industry.”

ACE also has a dedicated marine centre, which Kawasaki will also support through the donation of a super-charged jet-ski drive line unit.
