Celebrity spoodle

Dockland local Lily isn’t afraid of the spotlight, as her very own Facebook page would suggest.

According to her carer, Amanda Sleigh, Lily’s owners have set up a Facebook account for the three-year-old who is now very well known around town.

Amanda said she takes Lily out every day for a walk and that she can’t go anywhere without bumping into someone she knows.

“I always bump into people that she knows. They’ve known her from since they moved in here, so she has plenty of friends,” Amanda said.

As a product of the “apartment living lifestyle,” Amanda said that, despite being one of the most well-behaved dogs she knows, the young spoodle has a devious streak.

“She’s trouble,” she said. “She’s always found that the best place to do her business is in the middle of the road.”

“She knows that as soon as that little green man goes, yep that’s my time. That means I have to pick it up in front of every car just staring at me laughing.”

“People have even taken photos of me because I’m in the middle of the road.”

After walking her new friend for 12 weeks now, Amanda said she has loved getting to know Lily and her owners.
