Pixie is at home in Docklands

10-year-old Pixie enjoys exploring the many nooks and crannies of Docklands according to owner Daniela Ranson, who says she gets walked through the area every day.

Daniela describes her Lhasa apso Maltese cross as “adorable, caring and full of life,” and says that her walks are of added importance for the opportunity to socialise with people as well as animals.

According to Daniela, Pixie is generally well behaved at home and even performs the role of a guard dog.

Despite not being a “barker”, Daniela tells Docklands News that Pixie will let out an “oof” as a warning if somebody approaches their front door thus fulfilling her duty as guard dog to the family.

Residing in nearby Bourke St, Daniela says Docklands is the most dog-friendly area in the city providing many trees, park areas and many other friends for Pixie to meet everyday.

Mrs Ranson says that she speaks on behalf of many other Docklands pet owners however in expressing her wish for an off leash area so that dogs like Pixie can stretch their legs!
