April – May 2004 Issue 6

Facilities for the Dockands community will be enhanced in April when the community “Hub” opens opposite Docklands Park (and diagonally opposite the National Australia Bank building).

“The Hub” is the new shop-front for municipal services in Docklands.

With its official opening scheduled in April, the Hub will be open during normal office hours to provide a service access point to the Docklands community.

The inside of the building has been fitted out to provide office space, meeting rooms and display spaces.

Subsequent work will extensively develop the area around the Hub to provide useful outdoor spaces including an activity zone incorporating picnic zone, bocce courts, an ampi-theatre, and a street skate course. When you are next out walking in Docklands drop by the Hub and take a look at this new community facility.
