Capturing Docklands’ beauty
Docklands’ beauty has been captured in a range of photographs as part of a recent competition.
The Destination Docklands “Docklands I Love You” photography competition saw amateur and professional photographers busily snapping photos around Docklands.
Entrants were asked to take photos focusing on three different categories: people, parks and green spaces and Melbourne’s jewel – the waterways.
“We have been overwhelmed with the positive response and the calibre of entries from the 480 amateurs and professionals who visited Docklands to enter the competition,” Destination Docklands communications manager Georgina Hood said.
The organisation also partnered with Chris Cincotta of @MelbourneILoveYou for the competition and Mr Cinocotta will serve as a guest judge.
The winner of each of the photography categories will be awarded the major prize of $1000.
You can currently view the top 15 entries at the lower plaza at Collins Square. The winners of each category and the People’s Choice Award will be announced when the exhibition closes on March 4.
