Cadel is back

Cycling champion Cadel Evans returns to Docklands next month to participate in the annual Suit Up and Ride charity fundraiser.

Suit Up and Ride returns to Docklands for the third time on Friday, November 23 and is a team time-trial up and down NewQuay Promenade on blue Melbourne share-bikes.

Corporate teams are assured of a great afternoon out and will raise urgently-needed funds for youth mental health.

Last year $156,000 was raised at the event which helped Orygen Youth Health research projects in the area of suicide prevention, vocational and social recovery, trauma, e-youth mental health initiatives and programs such as the Family Peer Support Program.

There are five riders in each team and it costs $1000 to enter a team.

Organiser Lisa Bird said she was hoping for a great response from Docklands businesses.

“Mark Seymour will be performing and we are hoping for a big turnout of teams in crazy outfits,” Ms Bird said. “Bring your colleagues down to watch you race and join the party. We hope you’ll join us again this year.”

Corporations interested in participating should contact Lisa Bird on 9342 2800 or [email protected]
