Victoria Harbour update

Victoria Harbour developer Lend Lease plans to construct a residential tower at the corner of Collins and Bourke streets.

The building, at 888 Collins St will consist of a 15-storey podium-style triangular front and a 40-storey tower, located near Victoria Harbour’s new civic precinct.

Designed by Woods Bagot, the building will target Green Star accreditation and its 587 apartments will range from $398,000 up to $1.2 million.

The development will also feature retail space and four mixed-use suites along Collins St.

Currently awaiting a planning permit, construction of the building is aimed to start in November, with completion of the building targeted for February, 2017.

Construction of Concavo is also well underway, with construction taking place between sister building Convesso and the Library at the Dock on Victoria Harbour Promenade.

“The construction of Concavo is in full swing with three tower cranes now operating on-site and the lift core will and truly out of the ground,” a Lend Lease spokesperson said.

“The work force is currently at approximately 16 people on-site and we expect this to increase to 400 people at its peak.”

According to the spokesperson, the construction schedule and the building is due for completion by the end of 2015.
