Toastmasters is a word for social

If the Docklands Toastmasters Club had to be described in one word, that word would be social.

It has a wide demographic of members, with a wide range of life experience, careers, interests and cultures.

It is a dynamic group, and club member David Clarke says meetings follow the usual structure of a Toastmasters meeting.

“We also have social nights like our induction night and some evenings with different themes,” Mr Clarke said. “Our major attraction is our informal, friendly nature.”

“We are the only club in the southern division to have achieved Distinguished Club status thanks to awesome contributions from our club officers!”

“We are open to guests and new faces and look forward to meeting anyone interested in improving their communication and leadership skills”

Docklands Toastmasters meets in The Hub community facility at 80 Harbour Esplanade every second and fourth Monday at 6.20pm (with the meeting transferred to Tuesday if the Monday was a public holiday).
