The deserving dogs of Dock 5

The deserving dogs of Dock 5 Image

The dogs of Dock 5 must be the most spoiled in Docklands as they now have their own doggie wash.

The sumptuous bath with hot and cold water was installed last month following a survey of residents’ wishes and desires late last year.

Owners’ corporation chairman Denis Setches said the survey threw up a number of useful suggestions and some had already been implemented.

“We’ve always been pet friendly and we consider this initiative to be very pet friendly,” Denis said.

Other changes include more disabled access to the swimming pool, pace timers and a letter box for the building’s social club.

Building manager Dogan Cokacar said the dog wash was a relatively simple installation but would return great value to residents.

In our picture, possibly the oldest and youngest dogs of Docklands get together at bath time.

At nearly 13, Goldie the golden retriever says hello to Fritz the miniature schnauzer, aged 11 weeks.  Their respective owners, Catherine Chan and Tom Burt, also enjoyed the outing to the doggie spa.
